Is buying a Kansas City Foreclosure Property right for you?
I get asked the question about buying foreclosure properties in Kansas City on a daily basis. The most common question is how do I find the best foreclosure deals. That can be a difficult question because I have many sources where I find Kansas City foreclosure properties. In order to help a client, I first ask what their goal is. Will the foreclosure property be used to buy rehab and sell, buy and rent or buy and live in it? These are important questions. Next I need to know what type of financing is being used to buy the foreclosure property.
After determining the goal of purchasing the foreclosure property and the ability to purchase, I will review my sources of foreclosure properties and put together a list of possible foreclosure properties to purchase.
I have had some banks require a 5% earnest deposit and some properties in so bad of condition that obtaining a loan was next to impossible. I can find these kind of deals all day long. The kind I like to find are the ones in good condition and nothing missing like appliances, ceiling fans, blinds, garage door openers and so forth. These are harder to find and when they pop up, they sell quickly.
