It is great to see my two favorite college basketball on top of the Big 12.
What happens when the New Kids on the Block collide with the Undefeated Jayhawks . . .
Good thing the games are stilled played. Most bloggers I read gave KSU no chance. Most basketball analysis I heard on TV and on the radio gave KSU no chance. Vegas had KU up by 7 at 2:00 PM on game day. Many Jayhawkers who commented on fan blogs talked trash about K-State.
Beasley made a prediction that Kansas State would beat Kansas at home, we’ll beat them at their house, we’ll beat them in Africa and we’ll beat them anywhere else we’ll play them. We’ll Mr. Beasley, it took what the previous 24 K-State teams couldn’t do at home, 1 game to beat KU.
K-State proved that it is not a 1 dimensional team. The three freshmen from K-State (Beasley, Walker and Pullen) all scored over 20 points. K-State out rebounded, out scored and out defended KU.
Michael Beasley is like Michael Jordan. When he enters the court everyone plays better. The team elevates their game to the next level.
I didn’t see freshmen play . . . I saw Wildcats who punched Jayhawks in the mouth.
I called a couple friends during the game and I couldn’t hear them talk. The Cats came to play and the 6th man wanted it bad.
K-State Dominated KU from the beginning to the end of the game.
Here is a quote from from Luke Winn from Sports Illustrated
In my travels over the past few weeks, I've had the chance to visit three arenas for the first time: UCLA's Pauley Pavilion, Tennessee's Thompson-Boling Arena and Kansas State's Bramlage Coliseum. All three trips were for big rivalry games: USC at UCLA, Vandy at Tennessee, and Kansas at Kansas State. And I'm amazed how much louder Bramlage was than the other two. The students in Manhattan were in an absolute frenzy for the entire upset of the second-ranked Jayhawks on Wednesday, so much so that KU coach Bill Self said afterward, "We will not play in an environment like this again this year. I couldn't even hear the whistle blow." No doubt the KSU kids were particularly riled because the KU was in town -- they were vaulting press row just to get on the court afterwards -- but if they can come close to replicating the atmosphere for the rest of their Big 12 home games, this will be one of the most underrated home-court advantages in college hoops. Said forward Bill Walker , "My ears were ringing when I finally got back to the locker room." The question now is, can Kansas' students sufficiently return the favor when the Wildcats enter the Phog on March 1? For more, go to: Luke Winn
The next game is this Saturday at Missouri. Keep it up K-State!
